How we measure who ChatGPT recommends
These rankings aren't opinions, votes, or paid placements. They are a record of what ChatGPT actually answered when we asked it — the same way a patient would — who to see.
Measured, never sold.
Money cannot buy a place on this list. No dentist paid to appear here, no dentist can pay to appear here, and advertising anywhere on this site will never change a measured ranking. If that ever stops being true, this site has no reason to exist.
The five steps, in plain language
- 1
We ask the questions real patients ask.
In each metro we asked ChatGPT for a dentist 5 different ways — everyday phrasings like "Who is the best dentist near me?", "Which dentist should I go to for a dental implant?", and "Who does the best cosmetic dentistry in my city?". No trick prompts, no leading questions. 15 metros × 5 questions = 75 checks for this edition.
- 2
We record every practice it names.
Each answer gets logged exactly as given. We then match every recommendation against the 3,568 Florida practices in our dataset. When ChatGPT names a business with multiple locations, we credit it once — one winner per named business, so no practice is double-counted.
- 3
Frequency sets the rank.
A practice recommended in 4 of 5 checks ranks above one recommended in 2. One mention is never treated as a rank on its own — asking the same question several ways is what makes the result dependable. Ties are shown as ties.
- 4
We publish the top of the list — and only the top.
Each metro page shows the practices ChatGPT actually recommended, most-recommended first. We never publish a bottom list and never name who didn't make it. A practice that isn't listed simply didn't come up in this edition's answers.
- 5
We re-run it quarterly.
The same benchmark, the same way, every quarter. Practices that improve their AI visibility can appear in the next edition — and the run date is printed on every page. This edition: July 2026.

What this is — and what it isn't
Being on this list means ChatGPT recommended that practice when we asked, in this edition, in that metro. It is a measurement of AI visibility — not a judgment of the quality of anyone's work, and not a claim that unlisted dentists are worse at what they do. AI answers also change over time, which is exactly why we re-measure quarterly and date every edition.
Common questions
How did you measure which Florida dentists ChatGPT recommends?
We asked ChatGPT the questions real patients ask — like "Who is the best dentist near me?" — 5 different ways, and recorded every practice it recommended. Each practice on this list was named in those answers; practices named more often rank higher. We ran 75 checks for this market and compared the answers against the 3,568 Florida practices in our dataset.
Can a dentist pay to be on this list?
No. This list is measured, never sold. A practice appears here only if ChatGPT actually recommended it when we asked. Money cannot buy a place on this list.
What does it mean if a practice is NOT on this list?
It means that when we asked ChatGPT for a dentist in Florida, that practice never came up. That says nothing about the quality of their care — only that patients who ask AI for a recommendation are being sent somewhere else. Most practices haven't shown up in AI answers yet, so the list is short.
How often is this updated?
We re-run the same benchmark quarterly with the same methodology, so practices that improve their AI visibility can appear in the next update. This edition was measured in July 2026.
